An A to Z Walk In the Park

Take a journey upon a path that winds into a park full of wild and not so wild creatures from A to Z. This picture book is designed to help children learn their ABC's while identifying much of the animal kingdom--there are over 200 animals to explore. In addition to learning the alphabet, this book was created with the idea of how great it would be to read and connect many animals with their names easily in one book! There is even an index!

Bits and Bites
The vicuna resides in South America within Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. They are the smallest members of the camel family. As social creatures they live in packs that never stray more than a couple of hundred feet of one another. They feed in the high grasslands of the Andes and head to the hills for sleep. The vicuna's fine wool is very expensive and highly sought after but is sheared only once every 3 years because of its slow growth. Only after being protected by law, vicunas have replenished in population after nearly being driven to extinction in the mid 1970's.
